《天涯芬芳》讲述战争年代中国闽侨为代表的华人如何支援抗战的故事。杨子寒与刘玉茹为爱私奔南洋，在异国他乡协助阿杉叔开办茶行。恰逢国内抗日战争爆发，他们与南洋华人筹措资金参与同乡会抗日活动及回国参战、期间牺牲亲情，爱情。
